Last updated: March 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using HallPass, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.
2. The Service
HallPass is a convention planning tool designed for fans of anime, comics, gaming, cosplay, and related fandoms. We provide schedule management, budget tracking, group coordination, and social features to help you plan and enjoy your events. The service is available as a web application and a mobile app for Android.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use HallPass. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (see our Privacy Policy).
4. Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the platform is not permitted.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
HallPass offers a free tier and may offer paid subscription plans with additional features. If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Billing — payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
- Auto-renewal — subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancellation — you can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile settings. Your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds — we generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@hallpassone.com.
- Price changes — we will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price changes take effect on your subscription.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use HallPass to:
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
- Send spam or unsolicited messages.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform without our written permission.
- Impersonate another person, convention, or organization.
- Post offensive, hateful, or illegal content in user-generated areas such as meetup descriptions, group chats, or profile information.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines at our discretion.
7. Intellectual Property
- Convention schedule data displayed on HallPass may be sourced from publicly available information. We do not claim ownership of third-party convention data. Convention names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.
- Your personal data (schedules, budgets, notes) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of user-created content.
- The HallPass name, logo, branding, and original platform code are the intellectual property of HallPass and may not be used without permission.
8. Disclaimers
HallPass is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Specifically:
- Convention schedules are subject to change by their organizers at any time. We do our best to keep information current, but we cannot guarantee accuracy.
- We are not responsible for changes, cancellations, or issues caused by third-party convention organizers.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HallPass and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of suspension.
- You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
- If you have an active paid subscription, cancelling your account will also cancel your subscription. No refund will be issued for the remaining billing period.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as limitations of liability and intellectual property) will remain in effect.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of HallPass after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
