Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 4, 2026
HallPass ("we," "our," or "us") is a convention planning platform built for fans. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it. This policy explains our practices in plain language.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to provide and improve the service:
- Account information — your email address and display name when you sign up.
- Your content — conventions you save, schedule entries, budget data, meetups, photos, and any other content you create within the app.
- Usage data — anonymized, aggregated data such as page views and load times to help us improve the platform. This data does not identify you personally.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core service: building schedules, tracking budgets, and coordinating with friends.
- To send notifications you have opted into, like schedule reminders and convention updates.
- To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis.
- To process payments if you subscribe to a paid plan.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Your data is stored securely on servers hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices and regularly review our infrastructure.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Payment records may be retained as required by law.
4. Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data. Full stop.
- Shared schedules and group features are strictly opt-in. Your schedule is private by default.
- We may share anonymized, aggregate data for research or reporting purposes. This data can never be traced back to you.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services for hosting, authentication, payment processing, and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We do not store your credit card information directly. We do not share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use minimal cookies, limited to what is necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We collect anonymized performance data to improve the platform. This data does not identify you personally and is not used to track you across other websites.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate information on your account.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
You can manage these from your profile settings or email us at support@hallpassone.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
HallPass is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
